Technical Project Manager

CB5 is looking for an energetic Technical Project Manager to join our team in either Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a team of world class professionals delivering Microsoft technology solutions for Fortune 500, fortune 1000 and Public-Sector customers. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the efforts related to the design, planning, and migration of core Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones following ITIL guidelines.
  • Full project life cycle management: successful project delivery will include full implementation from envisioning to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities.
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.
  • Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques.
  • Proven success in providing on site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to drive and motivate both customer and CB5 team members towards project goals.
  • Must have Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) experience.
  • Energetic, strong and assertive personality able to adapt to different people and situations.
  • Aptitude to be able to understand proposals and technical writing.
  • Be able to measure and report on the progress of the project and its current state.
  • Develop a crisp understanding of the target objectives of the project and manage delivery of these objectives
  • Excellent communication, organization, time-management, and leadership skills.
  • 2+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $94,000.00 – $124,000.00 per year
